Liebestraum plot

"A story of lust, murder and dreams."

Nick Kaminsky ends up in a mid-sized town in Illinois, where his biological mother is dying. Fresh out of town, he accidentally bumps into his fellow student Paul, whose company has been tasked with demolishing a building that has been vacant for years. Nick is an architect and becomes obsessed with the beauty of the building. When Nick is invited to Paul's wife Jane's birthday, it turns out he's not alone in this obsession. He goes in search of the story behind the building, but time is running out because the demolition hammer threatens, while he also wants to free up enough time to assist his mother in her death throes.
