La Vocation Suspendue plot

An intentionally confusing combination of two earlier fictional attempts (a black and white version in 1942 and a color version in 1962) to film a story about the struggle between different doctrines within the Catholic Church. The final message is just as confusing as the structure. Is the film intended as an invitation to young men to consider the priesthood or is it an exposé of a group of homosexual fascists who have taken power in certain orders?
