Gaudi Afternoon plot

"Alone in a foreign city, Cassandra must solve a family's darkest, deepest secrets before she can confront her own past."

The American Cassandra has made a habit of roaming the world. When she ends up in Spain, she tries to earn a living by translating books, but with little money. Coincidentally, she meets the somewhat strange woman Frankie whose boyfriend has disappeared without a trace. For a bargain, Cassandra is willing to help track him down, but then she makes an important discovery. Frankie is actually a man awaiting sex surgery, and her boyfriend is Ben, a convinced lesbian.
