Cheating Blondes plot

Factory worker Anne Merrick tells her friend Lita that she misses her twin sister, stage name Elaine Manners. She explains that after they ran out of money, they both tried to become entertainers, but because they argued a lot, Anne gave up. She has not seen her twin sister since then. When drunk Jim Carter, who lives on the same floor as Anne with his wife Jennie, forces Anne into her room and then tries to hug her, she screams. However, Jim throws her on the bed and then a shot is heard. When the police arrive, they find Jim dead and Anne is gone...
