Successful American playwright Phillip Hannon has become blind as a result of an accident. He has been very sensitive ever since. In a bar he happens to overhear a conversation that is not intended for strange ears. He hears that someone will first be kidnapped and then murdered. Hannon notifies Scotland Yard, but they don't take his warning seriously.
