"OH, THAT BEAUTIFUL GAL..."
In the early twentieth century, songwriter Larry Kelly falls in love with Doris, the daughter of shabby opera composer Alfred Breitenbach. Together they try to get her father's career off the ground. Breitenbach's opera melodies are transformed into popular pop songs. This is against Breitenbach's wishes, but he agrees as he needs the money.
