"You have waited seven years for this!"
Robert Gordon tries to start a new Broadway show, but he needs money. Lilian is a young, wealthy widow who does have some money, but in return she wants a part in the show. Journalist Bert Keeler finds out about this state of affairs and writes a rather unkind column about it. The problems get even worse when dancer Irene Forster, an old classmate of Robert's, also wants a part on the show.
