Le Bal des Actrices plot
Mockumentary about the fortunes of some great French actresses whose egos seem bigger than the average studio floor. As true neurotic professionals, they naturally prey on the best film roles. In addition to beauty treatments and music lessons, they are willing to pay a lot for that. For example, the urban Karin Viard milks cows and tries to struggle through an English test, because of her desire to break through in the US. Jeanne Balibar swallows pills on the assembly line and attacks her director with a microphone rod. Only Charlotte Rampling plays as an intellectual, haughty professional 'just herself'.
