"Don't look back or you'll never see anything again."
A genetically engineered and super-intelligent dog is released from a lab by animal activists. Then the lab is destroyed by an explosion. An Outsider, a murderous mutant psychologically linked to the dog, also manages to escape with the help of its creator, Dr. Steve Malceno. The dog, named Einstein, meets Navy Captain Paul Ferguson and convinces him to contact animal psychologist Barbara White, Einstein's trainer. When it turns out that the Outsider is leaving behind a trail of murders and is on their trail, they decide to confront them.
