They Wait plot
"Bad things happen to those who wait."
A couple returns to North America for a family funeral. They have lived in Shanghai in China for the past six years. Soon after they arrive, their son begins to see ghosts and one of the living dead tries to possess him. This all coincides with the Chinese festival, the 'Month of the Spirit'. According to legend, then the gates of hell open and evil spirits and demons get the chance to terrorize the living.
