Very good. You can't ignore the satire against industrial food and junk food and the film succeeds wonderfully in that. "The Stuff" is a tasty product that makes people addicted, but nobody knows what's in it. Ex-FBI Moe investigates and discovers that the stuff does pose a threat to public health. Moriarty is cool as the detective and in addition to plenty of action and humor, you also get a few horror scenes, of which the one at the end with Chocolate Charlie takes the cake. Enjoyed it immensely but this film is primarily a satire/comedy and not a horror.

Extremely funny horror comedy, where the comedy comes more from absurdist situations than one wants to be funny at all costs. In fact, the film takes itself seriously in a good way, making the over the top - almost Troma-esque - scenes extra comical. The film feels very similar to Halloween III: Season of the Witch in tone, but also in script. But with yogurt. It could have been a little tighter - 80 minutes is still a perfect running time for this kind of film - but luckily there are enough memorable scenes and grotesque visuals to keep your attention.

3.5 stars.
