Definitely better than the first movie!

More story, darkness,... Also a better location for such a film.

Couple of very good jump scares

Michael Chaves (director) who made The Conjuring 3, which was really not good by the way.

This film made up for it somewhat.

But I still miss James Wan directing these films.

Good addition to Conjuring Universe

PS: Stay seated for the credits

This film will be judged by 3 groups of people:

1. People who are fans of conjuring universe: will find this good to very good.

2. People who are easily frightened: will find this very frightening.

3. People who are not easily scared: will find this moderate/funny, but with good moments.

I'm the first (conjuring universe fan).

I think this is a really good movie, not so much because it is extremely scary.

But it is well put together, puzzle pieces that come together. Very nice.

As written everywhere, definitely better than the first.

But for me also definitely in the TOP 3:

1.The Conjuring 2

2.The Nun 2

3.The Conjuring

And also the location itself, much better than the first.

You can do a lot & they also make good use of it.

Pace was also good, a few moments where you can take some rest if necessary

But I think the horror scenes are really well done in this film!!

Very satisfied, going to see it a second time is a good idea

So-so. In my teenage years, especially with my brother and sister, I was quite a fan of these types of horror franchises. So we caught the second part of this Conjuring spin-off together with them in the cinema. Certainly not the worst I've seen, nor the best.

The film is again mainly set somewhere halfway through the last century in a French village. A village in which the population appears to speak English with a French accent - always an immense turn-off. Afterwards we quickly go from jumpscare to jumpscare that are really constructed in the same way each time. It even becomes a bit annoying when you can always predict the next few minutes of a film almost down to the frame.

It is also special that the demon is able to hurl an adult man meters into the air, break the bones and then set it on fire, but cannot shake off sisters of about 1 meter 65. Anyway , Taissa Farmiga is doing quite well again. She radiates innocence, but also something invincible. She does that well, she is quite suitable for this role. Also Valak - wasn't that the name of this demon? This is not used in the film - it has the qualities to carry such a film.

Great for a scare for an evening, but other than that there's not much to it. The outro with those black and white images was well put together. And oh yes, there is also a new Conjuring coming . Apparently it was also directed by Michael Chaves, which is a shame.
