Soulful plot

A woman, addicted to crack while pregnant, sells the soul of her unborn child to the devil so that it may be born healthy. The child is adopted by her sister and grows up in a church environment. At the age of twelve she already sings solo in the church choir and is ironically nicknamed 'soulful'. But while she is blessed with a heavenly voice, she is also doomed to destroy everything that has to do with love.
