Those who go along with the ghostly setting and the stress of the characters will benefit from it. If that doesn't work or less, you'll soon be stuck with a film that makes you wonder more and more what is actually going on. And sooner or later the penny will drop through the session being played. A giveaway, while the prelude isn't very entertaining either. Then it will drag on its own. And yet it does have something. A few nice shots that cause a bit of nervousness, the music doesn't do it wrong in that regard and when the boiling point is approaching, it gets more and more unpleasant for the day. Anderson's final chord is unfortunately a bit too dull.

the film drags on slowly, in the beginning you think it could turn into something ***almost an hour and a half of hassle about asbestos in a mental health clinic ***I couldn't keep my head up***the somewhat bloody ending fascinated me then not anymore.

Very successful.

But it is a film that has to get going for a long time before the water really starts flowing. Session 9 was without a doubt one of the scarier and better horror movies I've seen lately. I just think that a film like this cannot possibly appeal to everyone and is not for everyone.

The first half hour is therefore a bit tough, especially because there really isn't a hole happening. The location does bring an immediate atmosphere, but that is a bit more difficult if the story doesn't really have a splash of horror yet. Some small moments of creepyness, but otherwise you are actually looking at 4 moderately acting gentlemen.

Once the half hour has struck, the film has an upward trend to eventually become very oppressive and exciting. The atmosphere that ultimately hangs in Session 9 is simply unique. Confusing, disturbing and creepy. The film pulled me in completely and suddenly we were in the final.

Good use has been made of the lighting and dark corners. Creepy corridors and good tension build up make this film, combined with an atmosphere that won't let you go once you're really into it. Sometimes somewhat inhibited by not too brilliant acting, but in general it is very strong.

Camera work and cinematography are also decent, though sometimes hampered by budgetary constraints. Yet they knew exactly where to film and that resulted in a very successful film. The oppressive tension eventually builds up to a bloody finale, but it also has a unique atmosphere.

Successful and exciting film, the first in months that made me a little more alert to my surroundings. Perhaps not extremely exciting, but you do manage to grab the atmosphere really well in the end. Also thanks to a good and strong soundtrack and some atmospheric montages in between. This is a successful and special horror film.
