Pin plot
"A Plastic Nightmare"
Due to a loveless upbringing, Leon and Ursula, brother and sister, are dependent on each other. Their only friend is Pin, a lifelike doll who is in their father Frank's doctor's office. Frank doesn't want his kids to talk to Pin in his absence, but Leon especially breaks this rule very often. When their parents die in a traffic accident years later, both feel liberated, especially Leon because he no longer has to keep his friendship with Pin a secret. The friendship grows closer and eventually becomes a deadly obsession.

Well, it all depends on how afraid you are of dolls, ventriloquist dummies or, in this case, an anatomy doll from the doctor's office.
But this Pin does make a nasty impression and that without too much bloodshed, nevertheless we know almost for sure that Pin will return to my dreams tonight, maybe an extra light on tonight can keep him away.

Disturbing psychological thriller about the twisted love triangle between a brother, a sister and a medical doll. More suspense than actual gore, but with a few bizarre moments that are even strangely touching. Perhaps a bit too long-winded and not visually appealing enough. Fortunately, the strange twist at the end comes as a hammer blow and puts the rest of the film in a whole new perspective. Definitely worth a try for fans of films like The Babadook.

Interesting, well-constructed story in which the relationships within the family and Leon's obsession with Pin provide a fascinating spectacle. Don't expect bloody moments, but the dramatic story itself is already a horror element in itself. 7/10
