Especially because of the irritating little boy and mediocre characters. In any case, there is nothing new under the sun anymore and it is mainly a matter of stretching because it turns out that it is no longer possible to get much out of the concept. Gore is nice, atmosphere less so.

Oh yeah, I never said anything about this again. I actually think it's almost as strong as 1, but a lot more fun. A bit of a cheesy horror-comedy, I like that. Wrong one-liners, more action, more gore. The balls are also nice and inventive. The Tall Man is meaner, but less frightening.

Still a series that doesn't rely on its story. Although I think this part is more logical than Phantasm II. The original protagonist returns and brother, it all feels nice and familiar. Moreover, Bannister is really badass here, I like that sidekick too. Only that Home Alone-like kid was a bit less.

In short, I thought this was wonderful nonsense,

The budget is shrinking and with it the quality of the series. Director Don Coscarelli seems to have difficulty stretching his concept and that is no surprise. You can't start with an idea that you have already explored the edges of in the previous parts, but it still comes with an entertaining finale. Fortunately, the practical effects are present again and Angus Scrimm does a nice job again, but the protagonists are very boring, which means that this film has a pretty tough first half. The relatively short playing time of 91 minutes therefore seems to last (much) longer, but in the end the event still includes enough to make you a little happy.
