Home Education plot
Rachel is a teenager raised according to the beliefs of an esoteric sect in the south of Italy. When her father Philip dies, Rachel's domineering mother, Carol, driven by the belief that Philip's lifeless body will revive itself, forces her daughter to live with the corpse. While everything in the house goes according to Carol's strict rules, Philip's disappearance arouses suspicion. Dan, a local boy named Dan befriends Rachel. Carol immediately feels threatened by him.
