I was curious about this, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The theme comes across as quite crappy, because sometimes you would almost think that the film has a homophobic message instead of a sympathetic one, but whatever. The killer still looks quite reasonable with that devil mask and his sharpened sickle, but a motive and identity remain unclear. This has been done before in a slasher, but worked better in, for example, House on Sorority Road (1983).

A bad low-budget slasher that I will quickly forget.

It's a shame indeed that we never find out the killer's motive. This makes him feel like a pawn who just happens to kill people.
Unfortunately, you can tell that there was little budget in almost everything, such as the severed heads that fell out of the closet.

The protagonist is attractive, as is the boy he has a crush on. Unfortunately, the most sympathetic of the bunch was killed first. The characters and situations are sometimes a bit unbelievable, unfortunately. Could have been better.

An original idea, a gay slasher, and it was quite easy to ignore, hence no failing grade.

Mediocre (gay) slasher. Not only with a largely gay cast, but also clearly made purely for the gay-interest audience. I'm not one of those, so you'll pay more attention to the rest of the film. Unfortunately, it's quite a mess. It all looks very dull and the uninspired killer shares in the malaise. With his sharp sickle he does cause quite a bit of damage, but this is too often disguised due to the low budget. Kills that only manifested themselves in shadow play on the wall always make me itch. Let's get some ointment tomorrow...
