Ghost of Mae Nak plot
"A young couple reawaken the spirit of a famous old Thai legend."
Set in modern-day Bangkok, the life of the bride-to-be Mak is disrupted by nightmares in which Mae Nak, a female ghost according to an ancient Thai legend, appears. Mak grants the wishes of his bride-to-be Nak and buys an antique cloak pin and an old house through the scrupulous real estate agent Angel. After the wedding, two thieves who work for Angel break into Mak and Nak's house and steal all kinds of wedding gifts. When Mak later sees them on the street with the stolen goods, he is run over by their truck and falls into a coma. The ghost Mae Nak then takes possession of Mak's soul. Nak must pull out all the stops to expel Mae Nak from her husband's body.
