"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
On a clear night with a full moon, Ellie (Christina Ricci) and her brother Jimmy lose control of the car and another road user crashes her car into a ravine. They try to help her, but during this rescue mission, brother and sister are bitten by a dog-like creature. Since then, their lives have not been the same. The accident turns out to be much more than a fateful coincidence. The brother and sister suddenly possess inexplicable physical powers and are both extremely excitable. Controlled by uncontrollable impulses, they find it difficult to control their new animal 'gifts'. The mystery surrounding their curse must be solved before everything and everyone is dragged into the dangerous clutches of this powerful evil.

Strong and exciting in the beginning, but with this premise much more could have been done. The tension goes away and the gore sets in. A pity, because the atmosphere also disappears and you watch your film dutifully. 1.5*.

Disappointing film about a brother and sister who cause an accident when they hit a werewolf. The characters and the sometimes somewhat messy story do not captivate at all, otherwise both are also quite predictable. An entertaining moment here and there and Christina Ricci is always nice to see.

Normally the werewolf is my favorite appearance in horror, but this film is disappointing, the only one who rises above average is Ricci, the rest just muddle on. In terms of the special effects we should have expected a bit more, it all felt a bit old-fashioned.
The film has a number of funny moments, but too few and the scares are actually not there, all very predictable. But what was an absolute turn-off for me, a ferocious werewolf about to destroy or tear something and then give the middle finger just a little longer, then you cross a line. Ricci's playing makes me give it another two, but the film is really not recommended.
