A mother [Mavournee Hazel] escapes with her teenage son [Diesel La Torrace] from her abusive husband [Josh McConville] and hides in her aunt's [Geneviève Lemon] house deep in a forest where a fire has broken out. While the father is engaged in a manhunt, two unsuspecting police officers [Harry Greenwood, Iolanthe] must ensure that everyone living in the forest evacuates. This thriller with horror elements is slow to get going, but McConville is intimidating as the vindictive, brutal father, and the finale during the forest fire is quite impressive, partly thanks to the beautiful cinematography.
