Solid.

But it's definitely not a second Martyrs. Not nearly as uncompromising, which is a shame, since films from this angle actually benefit from it.

In terms of design, it obviously offers little new, mostly familiar territory. Plot-wise, it leaves nothing to the imagination, and of course the torture is once again perpetrated by a bunch of bearded balkan thugs; no surprise either.

Fortunately, its solid execution gives the movie some shine. Adequate use of soundtrack to accentuate the dire atmosphere, and a handful of beautiful film scenes. Acting wasn't bad either, to what extent that is important in these kinds of films. Somewhat surprising that it ended up being organgtrade; Don't think I've seen anything like that in a torture movie before.

In conclusion: fairly down-to-earth thriller that certainly puts together nicely, but is too fleeting to really weigh heavily, and lacks the necessary panache to become impressive. Well 3.0* stars.

Strong French film. They try to set a high tone on good image fragments and interesting sound effects. This with a high dose of tension, which actually only gets higher from the start. Story is a bit simple here and there and is not perfectly put together in all areas, but the atmosphere and tension still make you want to keep watching the film. Nowhere really long-winded and quite strongly acted. But the film sometimes just misses the special thing to be really good. Is sometimes put together just a little too simply and lacks some depth and credibility here and there. Despite this, I definitely enjoyed it!

Quite an entertaining film that is somewhat in line with the films such as Hostel. The focus here is less on the horror, but more on the tension and the atmosphere. I entered the film pretty blankly and I certainly didn't regret it.

Some excellent scenes and a mysterious first part where the how and why was not yet completely clear. In the end it turned out to be organ trafficking. Also interesting that little things were thought of. The captors were unintelligible in their language, and those tinnitus from Carola's point of view were fine.

Last part during the flight also very exciting. the revenge part also looked pretty normal. No superhuman metamorphosis at all. Nice to have seen!
