Barbe-Bleue plot

The infamous aristocrat Bluebeard is looking for a wife to be his eighth wife. His previous seven wives have all died. Many noble families bring their daughters to meet him, but none of the young women want to marry him because of his shady reputation. However, Bluebeard's great wealth convinces a father to give him his daughter's hand. Reluctantly, the daughter marries him and after a lavish wedding banquet she begins her new life in his castle. She gets to run the castle, except for one room which is off limits. But when Bluebeard goes on a trip, her curiosity about the room takes over and she can't resist the temptation.
