Macunaíma is a dark man from the jungles of Brazil. When he takes a bath in magical water, he turns into a white man. As a white man, he goes to a city and falls in love with a female freedom fighter. Her lucky necklace is found by an Italian who becomes a millionaire after being killed by her own bomb. Macunaíma goes in search of the Italian.
