Great to see this movie. And the story was that of the comic*. Now I must honestly say that I found the comic more beautiful and more inspiring at the time. But I was also early 12 at the time.

To be fair, the effects are outdated and that has a charm. A charm that I particularly appreciate. Great to see the 60s style.

Original story, beautifully presented. Few paradoxes.

*For the enthusiast in the link below is the comic.

Incidentally, the Morlocks are not cannibalistic, because the Eloi's do not belong to the same race.

Beautiful movie.

The remake has none of the originality of this film.

Maybe dated now, but I don't care.

The documentary accompanying the DVD is also interesting.

I've seen the film many times, but it's still a pleasure to watch it again.

Add a bottle of wine and I'm completely happy.

For me, this remains the absolute top of my favorite films. This has everything to do with the atmosphere that is created, especially around the period when he builds the time machine and leaves with it; late 19th, early 20th century. I haven't kept track of how many times I've seen this movie, but that would be many dozens of times. And every time I watch it again it's a pleasure and I see new details. Great story, an accompanying perfectly composed cast and catchy music. Despite the meager special effects (we're talking about 1960) I can still remember how captivated I was as a kid when I first saw this film on TV in the early 1970s (and how long it lasted then post-processing). The film is not only recommended, the documentaries about it too.
