Goblin plot

"He Wants You Badly"

In 1831, the inhabitants of the town of Hollowglen were cursed. A witch, whose disfigured child was burned at the stake by the frightened villagers, in revenge invoked a demon from the depths of hell. This unsightly and bloodthirsty monster killed all of Hollowglen's newborns. And since then, he returns once a year… on Halloween. When Neil Perkins and his family move to Hollowglen a few days before Halloween, they have no idea what horrors await them. Despite warnings from some villagers, they move into their new home. The nursery is ready. And the Goblin has their sights set on their newborn baby…

Worthless.

I've said before in my reviews that a SyFy-like movie doesn't necessarily have to be bad. Granted, these movies will probably never get a passing grade from me, but that doesn't mean they have to be the biggest monsters on earth. This Goblin is unfortunately a bad example of that.

The lazy approach of the film is already noticeable after minutes when we see little decoration on the visual level. The cinematography looks very bare. The details are completely missing during this film, and so the environment is decorated very uselessly. The filters are absent and the coloring is also disappointing. The misery starts very early with this.

And it doesn't end either. The acting is wooden and the writing is completely interchangeable. Whoever wrote this was either pressured or obstructed. These kinds of uncreative stories are really not acceptable in a year like 2010. Furthermore, this so-called Goblin looks awful. Just throw a tablecloth over an individual with a mask and that's it!

Goblin can also be called a boring film, besides all these points of criticism, because there is no fun or talent to be found anywhere. This film is very serious, which makes me wonder what on earth was going through the minds of the creators when they made this film. This must have been made for money, but I can't imagine that this film actually brought in any money.

No, this kind of cinema is completely worthless and gets its reviews very rightly. Very bad film, that even within its kind is still among the worse work. The opening can still be called nice, just like the first half of the film that is still a bit nice to watch, the rest I have nothing good to say about. Sorry not sorry.

Ever since an incident on Halloween in 1831, the village of Hollow Glen has been cursed, with the Goblin of the title claiming the life of a newborn every year. Apparently, that wasn’t in the guidebook of the Perkins family (and their entourage), who arrive there on Halloween with a newborn baby. The local drunk [Donnely Rhodes] does an imitation of “It’s got a Death Curse” Crazy Ralph from Friday 13th and every now and then a tall figure in black robes appears to startle the crowd. These moments are teasers, because if there is any tension at all, it is limited to the very end. Patience, however, is not so much a virtue as a tragic waste of time.

Yeah, what can I say about this. This is an incredibly bad movie, and the acting is as the monster is made, very bad....
