An ancient evil is unleashed in a small Alaskan town, leaving a trail of death and destruction behind. The only hope for survival rests in the hands of a grizzled demon hunter who has dealt with this evil before. Lundgren seems to be completely in his element in this entertaining horror film with a pleasant dose of bloodshed and flying limbs for the fans. In a story that is perhaps a critique of the American obsession with weapons, the Swedish muscleman plays the role of Jebediah Woodley, a demon hunter who tries in vain to warn the inhabitants of a Mississippi village of the haunting evil. It concerns a demon that instantly transforms his host or hostess into a ruthless killing machine. Shooting him or her dead is pointless, because then the demon automatically takes possession of the person responsible for the murder. Smooth horror film with an excellent monologue by the normally so taciturn Lundgren and an original variation on a frequently used horror element.

Watched this today, I bought this dvd via Ebay French edition with English narration, so had to follow carefully what it was about, but that became clear quite quickly at the beginning of the film.
It's a kind of pattern that is passed on, someone else is always the murderer because that person keeps shooting someone and then moves on to the next one, he or she becomes a kind of demon.
Even animals and children are victims.
This film is a nice idea, and Dolph Lundgren plays a nice role, as he and the police go after the (various) murderers.
The film is only 70 minutes long and that's enough actually, because there are some slow parts, but the action/horror is good, lots of blood and some gore and an entertaining ending, the highlight was in the church.
all in all entertaining to see once!

Great and at times nice gore action movie that reminds me a bit of From Dusk Till Dawn. I'm starting to look forward to fast action movies because I'm really tired of all that special effects stuff and then you end up with Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren. 4 stars
