That penguin is cute, but unfortunately the acting leaves a lot to be desired.

Pinguinfeelgood.
The story is naturally sugary sweet, but also somewhat charming if you find the right moment. And the visuals are appropriately sweet, though perhaps they try a bit too hard to tell a coherent story. Especially towards the end, it becomes a bit too beautiful.
That the actors don't deliver world-class performances shouldn't be surprising; this isn't much of a film, after all, and the obvious target audience doesn't care. It's all about the penguins, and all ten of them give excellent performances.

A Brazilian fisherman [Jean Reno], burdened by guilt over the drowning of his son [Juan José Garnica], rescues an oil-covered penguin. A special friendship develops, causing the fisherman to open up. Thanks to a news report, two Argentine scientists in financial distress discover that it is “their” penguin. When they retrieve him, they receive a generous grant to continue their research. The (admittedly) penguin steals this sugary drama (based on a true story) with great ease.
