The Little Rascals plot
"Mischief loves company."
Spanky and the members of the He-Man Woman Haters Club learn that Alfalfa is in love with Darla. After a lawsuit, they sentence him to forget about her and all the other girls. Alfalfa has difficulty with this, partly because a new rich kid wants to take his place. The gang also has money problems because they want to build a new clubhouse and it turns out to be quite difficult to make money.

Yes, nice, children of 5 years on average who do everything that the elderly (want to) do. Machootjes with fast-rising locks of hair if a nice girl is observed. Meetings are very hip and cool, as is doing business with the bank. Also, girls only have one right, the kitchen sink and they have to please the boys at all times. "A nice wet one. What? A kiss."
Phew, whats keburt in the kids movie industry? I pass.

Understand that this can entertain you as a child. The Little Rascals is not a bad children's film in itself. Also quite a challenge from Spheeris to work practically only with small children. But luckily the end product is clearly for a very young target group and they will enjoy themselves without a doubt. Lots of good jokes, which mainly consist of chases that are played at a fast pace, bullies who fall in the mud and children who shout 'o darn'. It is quite clear that the inspiration of this film comes from the 1930s. But hey, it has its charm.

Saltless remake of the legendary series from the 1920s and 1930s. Turn it on on YouTube for your child and forget about this film, which I find incomprehensible that the VPRO broadcasts it.
