The Borrowers plot
"Little People. Big Trouble. Lots of fun."
Under the floor and behind the walls of the house of the Lender family lives another small family in secret: a father, a mother and two children as small as an index finger, the borrowers. They survive by borrowing things from the grown-ups. That goes smoothly, until the day the Lenders are evicted from their house by a villainous lawyer.

I thought it was not that bad, some nice jokes and tense moments make for an entertaining children's film. But eg the ending was a bit rushed for me, adults can also like it but expect that there are a few parts in it that are a bit too exaggerated. John Goodman was not too bad, I honestly expected more from him but he certainly didn't perform badly. Also nice to see Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy from Harry Poter) in his childhood. All in all, a good kids movie.

Nice movie. I do have a thing for mini-creatures and the things they use, like walnuts for helmets. The only thing I found very unfortunate is that the film was broadcast in Dutch again!

Today broadcast on NPO3. Secretly looked over the shoulder of my little sister.
I actually thought it was a really fun kids movie. Too bad I never saw it myself when I was little. Also quite nicely recorded. You can clearly see that no attempt has been made to make the scale of the effects seem realistic, but it all looks reasonable.
Brilliant that actors like Hugh Laurie had a role, very nicely done all. The Dutch dub was nice, although there were too many Flemish people for my taste and 'loan' could have been better translated as 'loan'/'borrowers', but oh well.
Bit underrated here. Very nice movie for the little ones!
