"As belles, they were ding-dongs... they enlisted, and were rotten to the corps... and when things got hotter... they went to the cooler... now, they're on the loose again!"
A bunch of bungling eccentrics calling themselves the Apple Dumpling Gang want to retire in peace. Unfortunately, they become embroiled in a military investigation of the lowly Ravencroft and eventually help round up a smuggling ring.
