Pianke plot
Nine-year-old Pianke goes into hiding with his father during the last days of the war. They change their name and residence so that Father can also make fake passports for Nazi opponents. When they take the Jewish girl Irma into their hiding place, absolute silence is necessary. For Pianke, the contradiction between the national socialist ideals proclaimed in the school and the position his father represents is a stark difference, and his own experience meanwhile continues to grow.
