Paulie plot
"The Bird is the Word"
Paulie, an intelligent and talking parrot, tells his life story to a Russian immigrant who works at the research center where he is housed. He tells about the stuttering girl who got him as a present and whom he learned to speak correctly. However, he was taken away from the girl by the father. Through a shopkeeper, an old widow and a Mexican, he eventually ended up where he is now.

Just found out today what the title of this movie was.
Also seen this one once. This was indeed an entertaining children's film that adults can also enjoy. The parrot is indeed funny and the acting of the cast is not bad. 3.0.

An impeccable family film, actually. Watched it one and a half times with my girlfriend; we both had trouble keeping it dry due to the nicely incited sentiment. And she'd seen it about five times already.
