Nussknacker und Mausekönig plot
Christmas Eve. Marie and Fritz are delighted with the gift of their godfather Drosselmeier. It is a small wooden music box with moving figures: the sugar world. At the end of the evening, Marie finds another gift from Uncle Drosselmeier: a nutcracker. However, her little brother breaks the wooden figure. At night, Marie is awakened by a sound. The room is shrouded in a special light and Marie has the impression that the eyes of the nutcracker are twinkling.
