It had been a while since I saw part 1, so it was time for this holiday again. Better than its predecessor in every way. Takes himself much less seriously and a delightful stereotyping. If you fall outside the target group, it is necessary that you have some perspective and do not take yourself too seriously. Unfortunately, there are just too many users who take themselves very seriously and who like to kick in open doors. Fine but glad I don't have that, then life gets pretty tough.

More Ashley Tisdale, which is good for the movie. Her stereotyping of a spoiled brat is awesome, with those detailed mannerisms, love it. Efron is a nuisance in this series, but those annoyances are neutralized by the beautiful Hudgens. Which, unlike the previous part, I now found very appetizing. Every girl turns into a woman. She is also a lifeguard in this part. Brilliant. Grabeel and Bleu are also participating nicely.

In terms of story, not so much special, but with much less pretension than the first part. More campy fun and that's just better for me. In terms of songs a case of hit or miss, terrible songs are alternated with nice ones, but I don't have much with songs in musicals. Although I will not include that in my assessment because that is quite logical in a musical of course. It's a pity, by the way, that there are also singing dialogues, would have preferred to see only the real dance/singing segments function as a stepping stone for the singing moments, but hey, tough luck.

So with a bit of good will and a predilection for campy stuff you'll get there. Also a must if you don't take yourself too seriously as a movie viewer. Nice stereotyping, a nice performance by Tisdale and a beautiful Hudgens parading around in swimwear. Solid formula for a fun hour and a half.

This sequel is just more of the same and that's not so positive unfortunately. The generation that grew up with Nickelodeon will love this, but the characters have all eaten too much sugar and the story is hopelessly secondary. This reminds me a bit of a younger version of Grease, only here the actors are really teenagers. Some nice moves ensure that the film still gets 1*.

More of the same.

Didn't like the first part at the time, but I still motivated myself to look up this second part. Maybe the third part will come, but we'll see. Probably when the movies I want to see run out a bit. You obviously have to do something if you've gone over the 4400 films.

In any case, this was the Efron before he could actually act, because to be honest, this doesn't look like anything. Apparently he got enough fans because of this kind of roles, but actually it's not to be seen. The hopping of the other members like Hudgens doesn't really go well either. They remain uncomfortable performances that regularly frown your eyebrows.

The dancing and singing in this second part of a school goes to a residence, but what should have been a refreshing change mainly ends in exactly the same formula in a slightly sunnier environment. Director Ortega has never heard of a cinematographer, and the cameraman was probably taking coffee breaks during the filming, because visually the film makes no sense.

Songs are sometimes catchy, otherwise it is mainly a film that many film lovers can probably skip. It's also a colossal mystery to me as to why this film has achieved such massive status. Think that almost everyone can agree that it is Disney in its best form. Points for the numbers, otherwise pretty sad.
