Free Willy 3: The Rescue plot
"A new friend. A new threat. A new adventure that will capture your heart."
Jesse is now 17 years old. While on vacation, he teams up with Randolph on a boat investigating killer whales. Willy and his family are mysteriously threatened with extinction. When Jesse meets his new boyfriend Max, it soon becomes clear to him what's going on. Max's father, a fisherman, engages in dark activities that threaten the orcas.

Part 3 has only kept the killer whale and the title of the previous films, otherwise it has just become an empty film. No more sweet scenes at all, this is just dead with no acting at all. And to watch the film now only for Free Willy is also silly. The Willy doesn't act that well either, on National Geographic you have more fascinating images.

I think Free Willy 3: The Rescue is a nice movie.
I am not familiar with the previous parts. But from what I understand this third part is the worst. Because I can appreciate this third part, I don't rule out that I will also watch the previous parts.
In this film we get to see beautiful images of orcas. I have also seen better images at National Geographic, for example, but I think the images in this film are definitely worth it. I must also say that I really like the music in this film.
The story in this film is not too exciting but interesting enough to keep you interested. But it is true that the film could potentially have been much more exciting. The fact of two groups, one of which hunts orcas and the other group protects them, is something that could have resulted in something exciting. But the film is not really exciting. That's a pity.
The acting in this film isn't great, but it isn't bad either. The acting can go on.
At the end, the film goes a bit wrong. You saw that Max's father is coming around from afar. But despite Max's father being rescued by that killer whale, the twist isn't really believable. And the dialogue afterwards between father and son wasn't too good either. I find that dialogue a bit too sweet.
All in all, I think this is a pretty good movie. This film is certainly not brilliant and does not get exciting anywhere. But I still think the film is a fun looker.
