Several years have passed since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at Clearwater Marine Hospital rescued the dolphin Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, were able to save her life. However, their battle is not over. Winter's surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, and Winter is now without the only pool mate she's ever had. Panama's death may have even greater consequences for Winter.
