My Mexican Bretzel plot
My Mexican Bretzel opens with black-and-white fragments of pilots during the Second World War in Switzerland, subtitled by – so it is stated – excerpts from Vivian Barrett's diary. She tells about herself and her husband Léon, who lost part of his hearing due to an accident with his plane and was unable to fly. Afterwards, the couple's glamorous life unfolds through diary excerpts and film clips, captured by Léon, about whom we further learn that he developed a successful antidepressant drug, as well as an obsession with all modes of transport.
