Zündschnüre plot
A small town in the Bergisches Land towards the end of the Second World War. The working-class children Fana, Sugga, Viehmann and Zunder live there. Their fathers, convinced communists and social democrats, fight at the front or stay in concentration camps. But the children revolt against the Nazi regime and act accordingly. Among other things, they hide a British bomber pilot and a Jewess in a cave, which is also their headquarters. They are working with adults in the resistance against the 'brown terror', distributing pamphlets and calling for desertions. They don't even shy away from firing back at the Waffen-SS...
