Yossi plot
Yossi, a gay who hasn't come out yet, lives a lonely life in Tel Aviv. The doctor's quiet life suddenly changes when a middle-aged woman from his past enters his examination room. The brief but emotional reunion scares Yossi enough to spontaneously leave Tel Aviv. On the lonely roads of southern Israel, an encounter with a group of sociable soldiers makes Yossi wish to awaken from his emotional life.

Sensitive film about a man hidden in himself who still suffers from the loss of a love and is very uncertainly searching for a correct perception of his sexual orientation.

Sequel to Yossi & Jagger (2001) and in my opinion a slightly better film. The war has had an impact on Yossi, he is traumatized and seems unable to find happiness in love anymore.... He studied, became a doctor and escaped his work through hard work. During a short holiday to Eilath (where he had wanted to go with Jagger after the war) he meets a group of young soldiers. Private Tom recognizes Yossi's tormented soul and through his spontaneous behavior he tries to thaw Yossi's broken heart.....
Beautiful respectful film, beautifully and truly played, comes across as realistic. I wonder if there might be a third part too!

Here we follow Yossi, a rather timid lonely man. Love has gone a long way since his friend's death and sex is occasional and fleeting. Quite a character that I enjoyed following. You feel the inhibition of Yossi inside. This has not much to do with his past and that is why it was difficult for me to place the visit to those parents. He does struggle with his orientation and especially with making it public.
Yossi is a nice serene film about feelings and love. Atmosphere and respectfully made. Would like to look at.
