Freier Fall plot
36-year-old Marc is with the riot police and becomes a father. Shortly afterwards, however, he falls in love with his colleague Kay. His life slowly slips through his fingers as he is torn between his familiar world and the thrill of the new experiences.

Meh, I found it all a bit obvious and hardly deserving of its existence, in the sense that the story's specialness escapes me. With every scene that follows, you pretty much know what's going to happen. Even visually, it's a bit dull. The acting is decent, but I really didn't find it particularly special. 2.5 stars.

Good film, wrong subject matter. Well, good film. I think so. The acting was excellent, the story developed nicely, and so on. Technically, it all looked great. My main problem is that I don't connect with this subject matter. I've seen other films about gay men coming out. And I understand it's a good subject for a film. But I don't really connect with it that much. Actually, maybe I shouldn't have picked this film to see. I probably chose it because of the good reviews and because it's a European film. But it's also likely that I'll quickly forget about it. I actually found the open ending a bit too easy for this film, although it does fit. I'm mainly left with an unsatisfied feeling.
