Many gay films are about the difficult struggle to find a place in society. Although this is the painful reality for many gays, the director of this film has decided - fortunately - to keep this film light and positive. As a result, we see a young love developing between two young boys; Leonardo and Gabriel.

The dramatic gay films are no less beautiful or less good, but this film is a breath of fresh air that is refreshing within the genre of gay films. Because the 'light-hearted' gay films are often also 'comic' films full of stereotypes that (unintentionally) turn gays into caricatures.

I really enjoyed this movie and am glad it is a Brazilian movie. In my opinion, the small Brazilian film is very good and should receive more attention.

Romantic and very sweet coming-of-age drama film from Brazil about the coming out of a blind boy. Music: the film is accompanied by sensitive violin and piano music. Cinematography at home, at school, outside on the street and at school camp, often in muted colors. The main character Ghilherme Lobo plays his role as the blind boy Leonardo very well, it seems as if he really is blind! The other roles are also played realistically and naturally. The first shower scene is touching, but also emphasizes the loneliness that blind Leo experiences... Leo's mother is overprotective, but fortunately his father treats him more like a normal boy. A pure friendship develops between Leo and his new classmate Gabriel. This makes his school friend Giovana jealous. Statement at the party: everyone wants to boss me around and no one will let me kiss anyone..... The friendship is gradually turning into a budding first love, which is very touching, tender and sweet to see! Everything will be fine in the end. How nice that this film has a happy ending, because there are plenty of other bad ending films.... Nice unexpected scene during the end credits. A very nice worthy film!

Blind teenager Leonardo [Ghilherme Lobo] tries to break away from his worried parents Carlos [Eucir de Souza] and Maria [Selma Egrei]. He finally wants to go on a field trip, is considering taking part in an exchange program with the United States and longs for his first kiss. Giovana [Tess Amorim] has been his best friend for years, until he meets new student Gabriel [Fabio Audi], whom he befriends and falls in love with. Simple story well played by the young cast. In home country Brazil, homosexuality is a hotter issue than here and this undoubtedly caused more controversy. Sympathetic, but quite conventional and predictable coming-of-age drama.
