Yangtse Incident: The Story of H.M.S. Amethyst plot
In 1949, the English warship HMS Amethyst ran aground on the Yangste River during the Communist takeover in China and after being fired upon by them. The British government demands their ship back, but is now also stranded on the Communist bureaucracy and propaganda led by the cunning Chinese Colonel Peng. Lieutenant Commander Kerans of HMS Amethyst now has the task of sailing his ship further down the Yangste River under cover of night and unbeknownst to his Chinese "hosts".
