Yang Mei Zhou plot
Teenager Xiao Jing lives in a remote village in Hunan and lives in an isolated existence due to both geography and her deafness. She only has an emotional connection with her uncle, an artist for whom she occasionally poses. When the uncle gets caught up in a minor scandal over his weird hobby, Jing has to visit her father and police officer Haoyang and his pregnant wife Xiao Mei, who aspires to a career as a pop star.
