Yaaba plot
Somewhere in Africa, a boy named Bila is playing hide and seek with his girlfriend Nopoko. Dry scrub is all the kids need to have fun. On the outskirts of their village lives Sana, an old and lonely woman who has been rejected by the villagers. Bila in particular develops a strong bond with her and he calls her Yaaba, which means grandmother in Mooré language. Bila trusts his gut and, unlike the villagers, does not believe that Sana is a witch. He is proved right, as with her help and common sense, Nopoko survives a life-threatening infection. When Yaaba dies, the children realize that the old woman has left them a great treasure: the ability to overcome the fear of the unknown.
