Woman to Woman plot

Private David Compton has an affair with nightclub singer Lola in Paris during World War I and promises to return after the war to marry her. However, David is wounded on the battlefield, loses his memory and builds a new life with Vesta. By chance, he sees a performance by Lola in London that stirs up his old feelings for her. David and Lola meet and she makes a revelation that turns David's trusted life upside down and forces Lola and Vesta to confront them: from woman to woman.
