Wojaczek plot
The film is about the life of poet Rafa? Wojaczek, who died in 1971. Wojaczek's constant flirtation with death left a deep impression on later generations of Poles. Wojaczek was a rebel. He drank, fought, jumped from the roof, walked through windows, hung himself and turned on the gas, all to constantly feel the limits of life. The way in the film Wojaczek smokes a cigarette on both sides without burning his mouth is a metaphor for his hunger for danger. Women adored him, though he could muster neither love for them nor for himself. Poetry was all he lived for.
