Winner Take All plot
"He knocks cupid for a row of hearts!"
Young boxer Jim Kane, retiring from a health farm in New Mexico, meets and falls in love with former nightclub singer Peggy Harmon. Peggy needs $600 to extend her ailing son's stay there. To help her, Jim jeopardizes his health by entering a grueling boxing match in Tijuana. He wins the fight and donates the prize money to Peggy and her son. Jim then heads to the city to compete in more boxing matches. He promises Peggy he will return and marry her. But then he runs into the manipulative socialite Joan.
