Wielki Bieg plot

In the Stalinist 1950s, a three-day peace marathon for amateurs is held. Among the young participants are sincere, naive and enthusiastic sportsmen. They have to fight against the corruption of the political leaders, who determine the winner. The idealistic, bitterly disappointed Budny and the loner Stolar, who doesn't care about the ideological slogans, are pitted against each other. The winner gets a motorcycle.
