Widow on the Hill plot

Linda Cavanaugh (Natsha Henstridge) is a young nurse who ends up in a sleepy rural village. Looking for work, she is soon hired by wealthy Hank (James Brolin), who wants her to care for his ailing wife, Felicia, who is suffering from a terminal illness. As Felicia grows weaker and weaker, Linda's influence grows over Hank, who has a hard time accepting his wife's illness. Linda offers him a comforting shoulder and shortly after Felicia's death they decide to get married. Hank's daughters are seething and especially his youngest daughter Jenny shows her displeasure. The whole village is gossiping about the events, but when Hank suddenly dies, the fence is completely blown. Hank's children accuse Linda of murdering their father and she is arrested and brought to trial.
